Wilson fishing charters
Fifteen minutes from the dock to the first rod down. Wilson Harbor sits at the mouth of Twelvemile Creek behind a protected breakwall, and the bottom drops away fast enough that you are fishing almost as soon as you clear the channel. On a calm April morning you can be marking browns before your coffee has cooled.
The water
What Wilson is good for
The spring fishery here is the reason most people book. From early April into June, Twelvemile Creek pushes warmer, stained water onto a cold lake, and brown trout pile onto that colour line in eight to thirty feet. It is a shallow-water, light-tackle fishery — planer boards well off to the sides, small stickbaits and spoons, and fish that fight far above their weight in cold water.
By July the lake has set up and the fleet turns north. Wilson's advantage in summer is that the deep water is not far — a twenty to forty minute run puts you over 150 to 400 feet, riggers down 60 to 120 feet, hunting the 48 to 52 degree band where the kings live.
Wilson has also hosted one of the longest-running charter tournaments on the lake, and the harbour has the infrastructure that comes with that: real docks, real launch capacity, and a fleet that knows this water intimately.

Planer boards 100+ feet out, small stickbaits and spoons in 8–30 FOW, working the stained creek plume for browns.
Summer riggers
Downriggers and copper out over 150–400 FOW, presentations down 60–120 feet on the thermocline for Chinook and coho.
